The Paris to Provence Festival is back for its ninth successive year at the stunning Como House & Garden in South Yarra. French expats, Francophiles & bon vivants are promised a sensory experience of all that embodies French culture, food & wine as Como House & Garden is transformed into a magical, bustling French village. Once you pass through the wrought iron gates of Como House & Garden, you will immediately be transported to provincial France.
75 market exhibitors will be set up with offerings of French cuisine & champagne as well as homewares, fashion, books, gifts and travel. There’s something for everyone - activities for les petits including art classes, face painting and storytelling; and even playtime French bulldogs (well, all dogs are welcome!)
Each year the festival delivers something different with this year’s instalment paying tribute to iconic designer Coco Chanel. Guided tours will be held in Como House’s boudoir, Grand Ballroom and Billiards Room; all of which will be styled and recreated to reflect the glamourous life led by Coco Chanel. Original couture will also be on display.
This festival leaves no aspect of French culture untouched! We haven’t even mentioned the part about the snail eating contest, photography competition, playing petanque and the number of workshops and presentations on offer!
The Paris to Provence Festival is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. This is definitely one for the calendar!
