On Sunday 5 November, head to Sydney’s north shore for the 13th annual French Market. The grounds of Killarney Heights Public school will come alive with an infusion of all things French! Make your way through the 70 market stalls (the perfect opportunity to get ahead with the Christmas shopping) where you’ll find an array of artisan jewellery, fashion, bags, books, gourmet food and more.
Make sure you come on an empty stomach – follow your nose to the French-style “merguez” barbeque, crepes, macarons, cheese, bread, pastries and cakes! (Better wear the stretchy pants!) The kids will be amused with rides, games and face painting.
The French Market is run by the French-speaking Association of the North Shore (FANS), a not-for-profit association. All proceeds will go to the French-English bilingual program of Killarney Heights Public School.
